Our BPTW journey and Advice for Organizations Considering Certification?
As this was NERA’s first year both as an organization and participating in the Best Places to Work certification, the journey was especially insightful and meaningful. It provided a valuable opportunity to understand employee feedback and overall satisfaction, particularly during a period of transition, and reinforced the importance of listening to employees and building a strong culture from the outset. The experience highlighted that certification is not just an achievement, but a powerful tool to gain honest insights and drive continuous improvement.
Advice for organizations considering certification:
- Focus on your people, not just the award
- Encourage honest and transparent employee feedback
- Start listening before the survey, not only during it
- Be prepared to act on the results with clear actions
- Use the insights to build trust and strengthen culture
- Treat the certification as a continuous improvement journey, not a one-time milestone
