Formerly known as U.S. Retirement & Benefits Partners (USRBP), Daybright Financial is one of the nation’s largest independent, privately held firms specializing in employee benefits, retirement plans, and all their associated compliance needs.

Since 2008, we have grown by acquiring over 60 local and national firms that have been trusted members of their communities for decades. We serve more than 18,000 employer groups, 3.6 million plan participants, and nearly 50% of school districts nationally.  

How do you actively engage your employees?

One of the goals of our recent rebrand to Daybright Financial was engaging our more than 1,400 team members around a common purpose and mission of simplifying health and financial wellness for all.  It aims to showcase the value we all collectively bring to our clients and consumers.  Day-to-day we actively engage all team members utilizing platforms that encourage peer-to-peer communication, collaboration, and recognition. Additionally, our internal communication efforts have ramped up over the last few years. We also conduct robust employee surveys to measure satisfaction and feedback, enabling the organization to continually adjust and evolve.

What are the most significant HR challenges faced by your industry today?

Integrating AI into work processes, translating employee data for decision making, closing the skills gap, effectively identifying and deploying internal talent, avoiding burnout, and navigating legal challenges and compliance issues.

Could you share details about the teamwork activities offered to your employees?

Daybright is on a journey to bring small company teams together to work more effectively across a larger organization.  It’s a journey that encompasses encouraging, recognizing and rewarding operational collaboration, compliant system/data sharing, cross-selling, and philanthropic teamwork efforts.

Reflect on your experience with the Best Places to Work certification journey.

The certification enabled us to check-in on the pulse of the organization and to assess the impact of our HR practices and policies and to identify our overall strengths and areas of opportunities. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the great culture and environment we’ve built together. Additionally, it was fantastic to tie the certification with the launch of our new and fresh brand!

What advice would you give to someone looking to implement the certification process for their organization?

Be open-minded and brave enough to face new insights gained through the employee survey process and from external benchmarks.

Achieving the BPTW certification substantiates our commitment to building an amazing workplace culture and future together with our team members. We are proud that they have a consistently positive experience with their co-workers and leaders and find personal satisfaction in their roles.
